Here is my MLC progress on the MOTW. I took the yarns with me to my SnB meeting today, and cast on and started knitting away. You can't quite tell, but I am now managing six yarn ends, and it's time to add two more--that's when I decided to stop, and work on it when I could concentrate on all those pieces. Once I finish this part--it's a compass rose--there is a LOT of plain stockinette to do, and the balance at the top will be two colors only, so it's going to go fast.
YEE GODDESS! IT IS A 3rd MOTW SLEEVE. Congratulations Marie! junie
Ummm... the picture is actually upside-down, which sorta relates to the way I feel about this project! I will have to haul it out from under the 5 reams of printer paper (pic on my blog) and take its picture again. The back is now finished, and I "just" need to cast on that sleeve (graph in pic) for the second or third time.

Congratulations on progress on the MOTW. Hey, I can't wait to see the pictures.
I really enjoyed the pictures of the baby.
It is sooo much fun finishing one of these old projects.

Sleeve is still in time out, but is at least in the same room as the rest of the project. As soon as I can clear out some blocking room, all the pieces will get a bath and a good block. Then I will sew them together and add the neck ribbing, and Voila!

I worked this sweater about 10 years ago... It was tough going working all that intarsia, but it came out looking great! Looking forward to seeing your version!

Wow, I look forward to seeing the 'traveling' Map of the World. If Kate has it on, she will always know where she is!!! Maybe I need one too.
That sleeve looks great. I hope this isn't a PITA to sew up.You know, I have this pattern Marie, but I think I will admire yours.

I made the MOTW sweater about 10 years ago when the pattern first came out. Unfortunately, I reversed the water colors on the Eastern hemisphere, so the water colors wouldn't match when I went to sew it up. I had to rip out the whole Eastern hemisphere and reknit! You go girl! I know you can do it! You're in the home stretch now. Tina in Houston

Just a quick note to say that MOTW is still in time out, but currently residing in the living room. From that perch, she continues to guilt me out whenever I'm not w orking on her. I may need to finish her up this summer, just to get her out of my hair!

Humm...I think that you have done too much work this weem on the MOW. You thought about it and you feel guilty when it stares at you. That is too much for anyone to take.
Hugs

Haven't seen that pattern in years. The only one I ever saw done was knitted by a woman who has a lys in this area. Amaazing that the pattern is so old but still so popular. Mary
