Or, the Re Claiming of Arabesque:
Jade Starmore's design in Collecter's Item was started in 1999-2000. I spent some time in the hospital in 2001 and when I returned home and was well enough to pick up my knitting, I saw I made a grevious error in the hems facing. I put it aside. Over the years, that knitting lived in my stash closet, periodically moving further and futher into the back, and heaped with other yarn for 12 years. I didn't want to see it at all. I sort of forgot about Arabesque.
Last week I found it while searching for some other yarn. I decided to re claim it and see if I could straigtend the kinks our of this Old Campion yarn. This is the frogging process. This re quired 12 years of De-Kinking!
Frist, visiting the Frog Pond to RIPPIT OUT!
THEN COMES THE HOT WATER AND RE BUNDLING WET YARN!
I HAD A LOT MORE KNITTING DONE WITH A HUGE MISTAKE THAN I REMEMBERED...UGH!
FROGGED YARN
I started knitting and am doing Chart A. It is going well - but not enough photograph. I hope it will look something like Jade's picture below.
Stay Tuned. Pictures of Progress Next time.
