Or, How Do You Restart a Project you HATE!
First, you try to get rid of it. When you can't lose it or scare it away, and no one else wants it, you put it back in stash where it 'matures' for 3+ years before you picked it up out of sheer guilt. Then, you diligently knit 2 fronts and a sleeve to go with that 3 year old back section.
Second, you do some mindless scarf or hat knitting. Just small stuff. You say to yourself, "I am not starting a REAL project. This is just something to do with my hands while I am thinking about finishing the Geese. Ha!
Some readers may not know what the infamous, "Flying Geese," are. Here is a picture of what the cardigan called, "Flying Geese," is supposed to look like when completed. My Geese pieces are currently scattered throughout this blog. As of 12/15/05, I had 1/3rd of a sleeve, button bands and sewing to finish

THE CURSED GEESE CARDIGAN!
I stalled out, and started some mindless knitting.

The first 2 are lace. Hard to see by the pictures. One is a Mountain Color variegate in blue and purple.
The other is the same lace leaf pattern done in Jaeger Luxury Tweed in Flame with a Fisherman's neckline and long tails. Very comfortable to wear.

Two Noro scarves. One in a blue Noro wool oddments. I finished it tonight but have to trim the fringes.
The other, Noro Silk Garden in color #84. The red one was Christmas gift. I did hate to part with it.
You join a Knit-a-Long, (KAL), named, "Misery Loves Company." You agree to work on a hated, unfinished project at least 3 years or more years on the needles. You must work on it at least once a week.
I tried my best to scare the Geese away!
This one refused to leave and took up residence in my dish pan!
Since the "The Misery Loves Company KAL," was my bright idea, and my friend Marie, named the KAL for us, I HAD to fulfill my weeks obligations and work on Geese.
And here is my part for this week.
I actually bought buttons! As Scarlett O'Hara said, "I just can't worry about this right now. I'll worry about it tomorrow. For tomorrow is another Day!"
