Or, The Saga of the Western Oddment Redux Box.
The long journey of the Western Box Redux is over at last. I have forgotten when I sent it out - about 6 months ago I think.
It was in Michigan last, and this morning, at 8:45 AM , the doorbell rang, the dog barked and the mailman appeared. He usually arrives around 3PM. He had a rather large box in his arms - and I thought, "What could that be? Too early for Christmas." I had forgotten about the Oddment Box.
Not very tattered but I think this was at least the 2ND change of cardboard boxs. USPS is doing all right!
Joy's Note on the top of the oddment yarn
Wool, silk and wool, mohair,Rowan DDK, Alpaca,
Cottons, cotton blends, mysterious purple yarn, (rayon?), rayon ribbon yarn, and the 2 lonely Aran patterns the box originally started out with.
And so, the Saga is over. With the exception of the oddment knitting into a quilt of surprises.
Thanks to one and all for their generosity and dedication to get the BOX around the United States. I hope that all the participants had a great time. I know I did!
Happy Knitting
Junie
